Lisa Polomsky
Dear Hall Families,
Welcome to Frank Hall Elementary School and the 2007-2008 school year! It is my pleasure to serve as your Principal and I look forward to an exciting and successful school year.
I officially became the Principal of Hall School in May 2007, but I have been fortunate to have been a part of Hall School since 2001 and most recently to have served as your Assistant Principal since 2005. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Eastern Illinois University in 1999 and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University in 2005. Prior to joining Hall School, I taught Seventh and Eighth Grade special education at Jewel Middle School in North Aurora. In 2001, I joined the staff of Hall School and spent the next four years teaching special education in the Second through Fifth Grade classrooms. I have had the pleasure of working with many of the children and families of Hall School and I look forward to continuing to work with all of you.
The 2007-2008 school year presents many new opportunities and challenges for the students, staff and families of Hall School. Our mission is to educate students to be self-directed learners, collaborative workers, complex thinkers, quality producers and community contributors. Helping students develop a passion for learning will take the combined efforts of our staff, parents and friends and I sincerely hope that we will have your continued support in helping to educate your children.
Students can have excellent teachers-- and at Hall School we will strive to make sure that happens-- but the key to healthy, happy and successful children and students is the positive involvement of parents and families. Hall School has a long history of having a great Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and I encourage each of you to get involved.
Each month your student will receive a newsletter titled Hallways. This newsletter will keep you informed on important educational plans for the school, updates and status reports on projects and school initiatives as well as general information on what is going on and upcoming events at Hall School. Please take the time to read the newsletter as this will help you to stay involved and be connected to your child’s education.
Let me again welcome all new and returning students and families to Frank Hall Elementary and the 2007-2008 school year. My door is always open and I encourage you to call or stop by at any time and for any reason. I am committed to being here for your children and will do everything I can to ensure that your child receives the best education and experience while at Hall School. I am confident that the 2007-2008 school year will be a great one!
Very truly yours,
Lisa Polomsky
