Dear Schneider School Parents/Guardians,

I am so pleased to welcome you to what I anticipate will be another successful year here at Schneider Elementary School. We have grown and developed so much over the past couple of years, and I am confident that our students this year will be positively impacted as a result of that development.

This year we will be entering our final year, in the three year cycle, as a Reading First school. This program has truly focused our instruction and has enhanced how we go about the process of teaching reading. Our students have shown tremendous growth over the past two years, and we will look to build even higher upon the strong foundation that has been set. We also will be looking to enhance the process by which we make instructional decisions in regards to our students. All teachers will be engaging in a process by which they continually look at student performance and craft their instruction so as to support students in struggling areas.

We as a staff do not feel that instruction can take place without the continual partnership of our parents and community. Our PTO works hard to provide opportunities for parents to connect with the school, and we are always open to volunteers who would like to come in and partner with us as we look to serve our students.

The teachers and staff of Schneider Elementary School work hard to provide a quality education to the students, and I feel honored that we have been given the chance to be a part of such a wonderful community. I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve as the principal of such a great school and look forward to creating the lasting memories and celebrating the wonderful successes of our students and staff throughout the year.
