YEARBOOK FEATURED IN COMPILATION OF BEST

The 2004 yearbook for West Aurora High School is featured in the 2005 Gotcha Covered Look Book, a gallery of the best yearbook spreads and covers.

West Highs yearbook, Eos, was among 500 selected from thousands submitted to a panel of judges for inclusion in the standard reference book for yearbook advisors and staffs published by Jostens. Student Mark Nardone was the editor of the 2004 edition. Kim Dirck is West Highs yearbook adviser.

The design, photography, reporting and journalistic quality of many school yearbooks approach the work of professionals, says Gary Lungren, senior program manager/education at Jostens. The Gotcha Covered Look Book features the best of the best.
Dirck and the yearbook staff received an award plaque from Jostens to recognize the achievement.

This is the fourth year that Jostens had held the competition, and West Highs designs have won awards for the past two, says Dirck. Our staff keeps improving each year.
