School District 129/Heartland Community Blood Drive nets 190 pints
A drive to increase the community’s summer blood supply netted 190 pints at West Aurora High School.
The goal of this joint effort by School District 129 and Heartland Blood Centers is to help supply blood to Rush-Copley, Provena Mercy and 31 other area medical centers during the summer when supplies run low.
Becky Jo Tabone coordinated the Gift of Life Blood Drive for the District. Others who assisted on July 12 were Ali Elgindy, Mary Griemes, Karen Harkness, Karen Herold, Cara Howard, Lorri Murphy, Scott Robowski, Keith Tabone and Rick Torri.
Several area companies donated prizes for the donors. Winners were as follows:
