Public Hearing- June 5, 2017

NOTICE is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the District Administrative Office, 1877 W. Downer Place, Aurora, Illinois, 60506.  The purpose of the public hearing is to renew a five-year application of waiver or modification of state board rules and/or school code calendar mandates to better utilize time for in-service training programs.  The approval of this waiver, which the District has had in place since 2002, would allow the District to schedule full day school improvement planning time for staff. 

NOTICE is further given that the application of the waiver is on file with the West Aurora School District No. 129 Superintendent’s Office and conveniently available for public inspection at the West Aurora School District Administration Building, 1877 W. Downer Place, Aurora, Illinois during regular business hours.  The application for waiver will also be available on the District’s website under Board of Education/129 Board of Education Web Pages.  The public hearing provides an opportunity for District 129 residents to comment on the proposed waiver renewals.
