The Foundation for the West Aurora Schools was created to enhance the educational programs of students attending District 129 schools. By attracting private donations, the Foundation can provide support for the development of enrichment programs and services, which cannot be supplied by limited public resources. These “educational extras” can make the critical difference between a very good school system and an excellent one.
Incorporated in 1992 as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, the Foundation is directed by a board of directors, private citizens who serve voluntarily. The directors have committed themselves to generating and distributing financial and other resources to the school district in an equitable manner.
