We have started exploring the Monarch and Caudill Award books for 2009.  THe Monarch Award is for   K - 3rd grade and the Caudill is for 4th & 5th graders.  By reading at least 4 of the books on their list, students can vote for their favorite book in February.  We submit the school favorites to the committee who tally the votes from schools across Illinois and announce the winner in the spring.
