Dear Jefferson Family,

It is with pleasure that I once again welcome back our students, parents, and staff to Jefferson Middle School.  I continue to be amazed at the number of people in this area with ties to Jefferson.  There is a tradition here of which we are very proud.

We are anticipating a great year.  We have worked very hard over the summer to make sure things are in place and ready to go in August.  Our test scores keep improving and we will continue to work diligently to provide students with the best instruction possible.  Teachers are attending classes and working on curriculum this summer.

In addition to our obvious focus on the learning process, we hope to have some exciting activities that will bring attention to our community.  We want our students to be good citizens who are invested in this area.  Look for some great things to happen!

Please consider joining our PTA and becoming involved in Jefferson. We have many activities that the PTA sponsors for our students. We are still in need of a president so if you are interested please call us here at Jefferson.

As I approach my 33rd year in education, the excitement of a new year is still with me. I hope to work with each of you to make your experience at Jefferson a positive one. I believe very strongly that we have a great staff and a great district. With your help we will provide the very best to our students. As always please call us with any concerns and suggestions. We are looking forward to a great year.
