Dear Jewel Parents and Community,

On behalf of the administration and teaching staff, I would like to welcome our students and families to the 2009-2010 school year. The staff and I are looking forward to an exciting year as we continue to make academic gains while providing a practical education for all our students.

Each year our mission is to deliver a quality education that provides our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful for the challenges of tomorrow. In order to be successful the staff and I must continuously monitor the progress of each student. With an intentional focus on reading, writing and mathematics, our objective this year is to build a foundation from which a student can grow.

As our students mature through each grade level they will have ample opportunities to participate in a variety of after school sports, clubs, and activities. The Jewel staff and I believe it is important for students to explore other interests while making new friends and building healthy relationships.
