Library Policies

How many books can students check out?

  • Kindergarteners - 1 book
  • Grade 1 - 1 book
  • Grades 2-5 - 2 books

How long may a student keep a book?

  • All books are checked out for two weeks.

What if a library book is overdue?

  • A student with an overdue library book is unable to check out a book to replace the overdue book.
  • An overdue notice is sent to the classroom to go home
  • The student is responsible for paying the fine.

What if I return a library book that has been damaged?
If a library book is damaged the student who has the book checked out is responsible for paying to replace the damaged library book.

What if I loose my library book?

  • If a book is lost the student may not check out a book to replace it with until that book is paid for so that a new copy can be purchased.

Computer Policies

When can the computer lab be used by students?

  • Computers are used during regularly schedule LMC times and are avilable for teachers to use with their class as space is available.

Can I use the computer lab before or after school?

  • The computer lab is not available for use before or after school, except for AR testing during Family Reading Night.

Can I use the internet?

  • Students can use the internet as long as their have the parental permission form on file in the office.
  • Students can use the internet under teacher supervision and only surf to those web sites as directed by their teacher and linked in the Class Links section of the LMC website or teacher web page.

Can I print?

  • Students may only print under the direction of their teacher or LMC Director.
