WEST AURORA SCHOOL DISTRICT INTRODUCES WEB DEVELOPER

The new district web developer, Sheldon Gray was introduced to the West Aurora School Board at its meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 18. Gray’s appointment was approved at the school board meeting in December and he started on Jan. 11. He is the first full-time web developer for the district and will be responsible for building and maintaining web sites for Dist. 129. He will work with all the schools and administration in developing communications for internal and community use.

Internet technology and on-line communication is essential in today’s world. Gray said he is looking forward to the many web challenges that District 129 has to offer, and getting to know the community of Aurora . “I hope to incorporate my skills and talents in the creation of the District 129 website to help develop an interactive, professional, resourceful web presence for the District, along with helping as much as I can with the faculty, staff, administration, and students of the District 129 community.”

Gray was the webmaster for Evanston Township High School District 202 and was responsible for its web pages, interactive databases and other online technologies. Prior to that Gray was webmaster for Leo Burnett Technology Group in Chicago. Gray has also been an instructor on web pages for Mac University in Chicago.

Gray has a bachelor’s degree in computer animation and digital media technology from Columbia College in Chicago and is currently working on his master’s degree in instructional technology at DePaul University.
