All Blackhawk alumni are invited to a
semi-annual gathering of the West Aurora High School Alumni Association at 7:30
p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Luigi’s Pizza, 732 E. Prairie St., Aurora. Speakers
for the evening include Luanne Kelsey, interim principal of West High, and Ed
Schwartz, asst. principal of West High.
“We hope alumni will stop by to share their memories and ideas along with some
pizza and drinks,” says WAHSAA President Whitey Peters, 63.
The WAHSAA was formed last summer. Among the ideas under discussion are a
scholarship sponsorship and a program to honor distinguished alumni.
