At the twelfth annual event of its kind, more
than 160 fourth- and fifth-graders from 10 Dist. 129 elementary schools
converged on West High to solve math problems.
Students participated both individually and on teams at the Tuesday, April 19
event.
Fourth grade winners
Individual:
- First place, David Hoch (Fearn);
- Second place, Andy Alonso-Emanuel (Fearn), Anthony Mercado (Fearn), Allison
Elkins (Greenman), Sean Kent (Freeman), Daniel Rotolo (Schneider), and Ally
Wayzer (Schneider);
- Third place, Nick Seidelman (Hall) and Hannah Bartoszek (Greenman).
Team:
- First place, Fearn and Freeman;
- Second place, Hall and McCleery;
- Third place, Greenman and Hill.
Fifth grade winners
Individual:
- First place, Brian Serio (Schneider);
- Second place: Nicki McArdle (Fearn) and Seth Butcher (Goodwin);
- Third place, Ricky Rivera (Fearn) and Michael Gapinske (Freeman).
