HILL STUDENT MATILDE ARREGUIN RECOGNIZED FOR KEEPING THE PEACE

Matilde Arreguin (right) receives a congratulatory handshake on Jan. 17 from Dist. 129 School Board President Rick Slocum for her participation on Hill Elementary School’s peace patrol, a group that helps other students resolve conflicts by keeping feelings in check, reflecting, talking out problems and, if necessary, seeking help from an adult. Hill’s participation in the Peaceful Schools program is funded by an Aurora Foundation grant.
