17 AT WEST EARN “BLACKHAWK PRIDE” AWARDS IN
FEBRUARY
Seventeen students from West Aurora High School received “Blackhawk
Pride” awards on Feb. 9 for best reflecting one of the three points of
the high school’s educational mission.
The awards went to students who:
- show a desire to develop “skills for life-long learning,”
- display a “sense of global consciousness,” and
- develop in themselves or others “a sense of self-worth.”
February award winners are: Brisilda Bala, Ikea Bowen, Heather Brinkman,
Riante Dunn, Mario Elias, Allyson Jackman, Sarah Kilroy, Kevin Lash,
Adina Mann, Rachel Newman, Sarah O'Carroll, Erik Paxton, Andy Peters,
Carolina Quezada, Pearl Schappat, Robyn Towle and A.J. Vize.
Award winners are nominated by West High staff members. |
