WEST ALUMNI EXTEND HALL OF HONOR NOMINATION DEADLINE

The West Aurora High School Alumni Association has extended the deadline for nominations to the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Honor until April 1.

The Hall of Honor will receive its first inductees in November.

“We believe the Hall will inspire students to set their own goals higher and reach for more out of life,” says Mike Chapin, the district alumni relations director. “Its location in the auditorium lobby will allow this unique symbol of West High’s tradition of excellence to be shared with thousands of students, staff, parents and community members during the school each year.”

The association has received several dozen Hall nominations already. However, several people have requested more time to complete research.

“Because this is a new initiative and the nomination process requires the gathering of a great deal of background information, the Hall of Honor committee has decided to keep the process open one more month until April 1,” Chapin says.
