 Alex Jaquez, a Herget Middle School sixth-grader, tries on chainmail
armor worn by knights in the Middle Ages. From this April 20 assembly,
students will make strong connections and images in reading class where
they will read novels such as “Dove and Sword,” about Joan of Arc, or
“Door in the Wall,” about a teenage squire.
