West Aurora High School on May 11 recognized 12 seniors who have accepted invitations to play on college sports teams.

The students, who were honored at the annual “signing” day reception, are:

Andy Bowker, wrestling, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville; Courtney Brooks, tennis, Western Illinois University; Kala Clark, bowling, McKendree College; Nick Golich, baseball, Parkland College; Charlie Graves, football, Upper Iowa University.

Also, Kim Hunley, golf, Northern Illinois University; Erica Lange, golf, Monmouth College; Matt McGary, football, Aurora University; ; Lindsey Pilmer, golf, Aurora University Renee Shackleford, basketball, Georgia Perimeter College and Christina Young, bowling, McKendree College.

Only those students who attend Division I or II schools are eligible for scholarships.
