ACTV Channel 10 will air a replay broadcast at 3:30 p.m., Jan. 20, of last Saturday’s East Aurora/West Aurora boys’ basketball game.
The game in East Aurora High School’s gym came down to the last shot. East prevailed 62-60.
For the first time in history, live video of the game was shown on the Web. At one point, more than 1,200 viewers from around the world watched simultaneously, according to All In Broadcasting, the company that streamed the video.
Those with access to the Web also will be able to watch a replay of the game beginning Friday by clicking on links at sd129.org or d131.org.
The broadcast was a co-production of School Districts 131 and 129. Neal Ormond, the voice of the Blackhawks for more than 40 years and a member of the West High Sports Hall of Fame, called the game along with Jeff Hem, radio play-by-play announcer for the Kane County Cougars. Professional videographer Mike Meyer provided the video.
