WEST HIGH FRESHMAN ORIENTATION INCLUDES DINNER OPTION
Eighth-grade students and their families who attend West Aurora High School's freshman orientation on Feb. 26 can purchase spaghetti dinners, take a building tour and enter a raffle for paid registration next school year.
The dinners are a fundraiser for the Foundation for West Aurora Schools. Tickets are $5 and are available at Dist. 129 middle schools. Limited tickets will be available at the door. The reservation deadline is Feb. 16.
Dinners and tours will be available from 5-6:15 p.m. Freshman orientation runs from 6:45-9 p.m.
The Foundation for the West Aurora Schools dispersed $24,642 to Dist. 129 schools this year in support of enrichment programs and services that cannot be supplied by limited public resources. These "educational extras" can make the critical difference between a good school system and an excellent one.
