Smith Elementary School fourth-graders are inviting the public to their Invention Convention, 1-2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, in the school gymnasium, 1332 Robinwood Drive, Aurora.
The nine-year-olds will display the creative work of their uninhibited imaginations. Last year, for example, students invented reading glasses with attached lights and a purse storage device that fit underneath a chair.
Sharon Seals, Smith fourth-grade teacher, says the inventions are always charming, clever and even funny.
