West Aurora High School senior Matt Riddle is the 2006-2007 DuPage Valley Conference chess champion.
Riddle placed first at the conference meet on Jan. 27 at Wheaton North High School. West senior Kenny Connelly placed eighth.
The West High team’s next competition is the State Invitational, Feb. 9 and 10 in Peoria.
