WEST HIGH DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI NOMINATION DEADLINE MARCH 1

March 1 is the nomination deadline for the West Aurora High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Honor program.

The Distinguished Alumni Award, started last year, is a project of the West Aurora High School Alumni Association. Its purpose is to honor those alumni who have distinguished themselves beyond their high school years through their significant accomplishments or service in the arts, business, community service, education, government, medicine, science, or other professions.

Specifically, a Distinguished Alumni Award candidate should:
  • be a graduate of West Aurora High School and have had a positive high school experience (the graduation requirement may be waived for candidates who went into military service prior to their graduation during war years);
  • have been graduated at least 15 years prior to nomination;
  • have accomplishments or service that have been recognized as outstanding through the receipt of awards, honors, or other forms of distinction; and
  • have had profound and positive international, national or regional impacts in their chosen field of endeavor.

Call 630-301-5044 to request a mailed nomination form. Forms also are available at the Dist. 129 administration office, 80 S. River St., Aurora, or can be filled out on-line at http://www.sd129.org/alumni/nominationform.asp.
