SUPERINTENDENT TO RECOMMEND DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS

Dist. 129 Supt. Jim Rydland is recommending that the Board of Education appoint a new Director of Athletics at West Aurora High School on Aug. 6.

“The Board is aware of my proposed recommendation and supports the selection,” says Rydland.

Andrew Lutzenkirchen would fill the position. He has been the assistant athletic director at West Aurora High School since 2004. He has also taught physical education at West Aurora High School, Indian Trail Middle School in Plainfield and Waldo Middle School in Aurora. Andrew has coaching experience in football, basketball, track and baseball.

Lutzenkirchen has a bachelor’s degree in Arts from Aurora University, a master’s of Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University and his administrative certificate (type 75) from Aurora University.
