ACTV’s Channel 10 will air the Nov. 16 Vision 129 presentation by Supt. Jim Rydland at noon on Wednesdays, beginning Nov. 29 and at 2 p.m. on Mondays until the end of December. ACTV also will alternate the broadcast of four recent community dialogue question-and-answer sessions following Rydland’s presentation.
FVTV’s Channel 17 will air the Vision 129 series at 9 p.m., starting Sunday, Dec. 3. The same program will repeat the following day at 1 p.m. It will repeat this schedule until is airs all programs.
The videos also are available at http://www.d129schools.com/dialogues.asp.
After viewing Supt. Rydland’s presentation, the district invites viewers to tell Supt. Rydland what the district should continue, change, create or cancel. Rydland’s email address is jrydland@sd129.org.
“The purpose of this dialogue is to involve the community, understand its expectations and develop those expectations into a plan for the future of Dist. 129 schools,” says Mike Chapin, the district’s community relations director.
On Dec. 4 the Dist. 129 School Board will consider community feedback when it begins discussion on whether to place referendum questions on the April 2007 ballot. Call Randi Ochsenschlager at 630-301-5033 for more information or to schedule Supt. Rydland for a dialogue session with a community organization.
