WEST AURORA IN JAN. 27 HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS SHOWDOWN

The West Aurora Blackhawks Boys' Basketball team will play in the 10th Annual Meijer High School Hoops Showdown on Saturday, Jan. 27 at The Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.

In a rematch of last year's East Aurora Sectional Title Game, West Aurora will play Batavia. The game will start at approximately 8 p.m. Preceding this match will be a 6:15 p.m. game between Chicago-Marshall and Schaumburg.

Tickets for the event are available through the high school. Individual adult tickets are $12. Individual student tickets are $10.

West Aurora High School will have a West High student ticket sale from 7:15-7:45 a.m. and from 2:45-3:15 p.m. on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14 in the student cafeteria. Students will be limited to one ticket per person and must present valid student identification at time of purchase. Tickets purchased at these times will be for seating in the West Aurora student section. T here will not be a fan bus to transport students – students are responsible for their transportation to and from the Shootout.

Order forms for tickets are available at the West Aurora High School main office, athletic office, and on-line at www.sd129.org/athletics/. Checks must be made out to West Aurora High School . Completed order forms and checks should be mailed to West Aurora Athletics, ATTN: Meijer Hoops Showdown, 1201 W. New York St., Aurora, IL 60506. Orders will be filled on a first-come/first-served basis. All sales are final. Ticket pickup will occur from 4-6 p.m. on Jan. 9 at Door 1, West Aurora High School.
