A drive to increase the community’s summer blood supply netted 167 pints on July 11 at West Aurora High School.
The goal of this joint effort by School Dist. 129 and Heartland Blood Centers is to help supply blood to Rush-Copley, Provena Mercy and 31 other area medical centers during the summer when supplies run low.
Becky Jo Tabone coordinated the Gift of Life Blood Drive for School Dist. 129. Volunteers included Angie Smith, Sue Albanese, Mary Grimes, Cara Howard, Keith Tabone, Ammie and Denny Roche, Jiyoung Tabone, students from the West High Health Occupation class and members of the Golden Kiwanis.
