East-West Game Aug. 28
A live video webcast of the East Aurora vs. West Aurora game, Illinois’ longest-running high school football rivalry, begins at 7 p.m., Friday, August 28.
The game this year is at East Aurora. The game will be announced by Neal Ormond, the voice of the Blackhawks for more than 45 years; Rick Albright, West Aurora High School alumnus, teacher, and coach; and Dick Schindel, longtime East educator, coach, and alumnus.
This season West High School will provide live video webcasts of its home games and live audio-only webcasts of its other away games.
To listen to the webcast on a computer one must have:
* An active connection to the Internet. For best performance, the connection speed should be 56bps minimum; DSL or higher is recommended for best performance, particularly for video;
*A Windows Media Player; and
*A functioning sound card and speakers.
Gathering For Aurora-Area Alumni Aug. 28
A live video webcast of the East Aurora/West Aurora high school football game will be shown at the gathering. Cost is $5 per person, light appetizers will be provided.
All supporters of District 129 schools are invited, including parents, district staff and West Aurora High School alumni.
