Eight West Aurora Choirs to Perform in Oct. 27 Concert
The choirs of West Aurora High School will present their first concert of the year at 7:30p.m., Oct. 27 in the West auditorium, 1201 W. New York St., Aurora.
Tickets are $2 and can be purchased at West High's main office (630-301-5600) or at the door on the evening of the concert.
Directed by Elizabeth Hutchinson and Jonathan McLear, more than 290 students in eight choirs will perform music by various composers including Mozart, Mendelssohn, Schubert and Lauridsen.
Many of the pieces to be performed find their inspiration in the subject of music itself; the choirs will perform songs about singing, instruments and music.
