West Aurora High School student Danielle Adamowski took first place recently in Digital Photography at the recent Fremd 4 x 5 Show, one of the largest high school art events in the western suburbs.
More than 1,200 of the best art students from 35 high schools participated the 4x5 Show, which exhibits paintings, drawings, photos, digital graphics, prints, sculptures, mixed media and relief, all of them 4x5 inches in size.
This is the first year that Digital Photography was made its own category. In addition to Adamowski’s award, West student Morgan Downing received an honorable mention in this same category. In addition, West’s Noemi Velazquez received an honorable mention in the Computer Generated category.
The award ceremony is May 2 at Fremd High School in Palatine, and the exhibit is up from now until then.
