West High Aurora High School Names New Head Softball Coach
The Athletic Department of West Aurora High School has appointed Randy Hayslett as its new head coach for the girls softball program.
Hayslett is a social studies teacher who has just completed his 17th year at West. He has coached in the softball program collectively for 15 years, all at the JV level with the exception of the past season when he moved up to the varsity level.
A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Hayslett has a double major in history and economics with secondary certification. He received a master’s in Education Leadership from Aurora University.
Coach Hayslett is a product of Crystal Lake South High School where he played baseball and basketball.
