Quarter 4 Plans

Over the course of the past year, you may have come to realize that public education is governed by many different state and regional entities. This includes the Illinois State Board of Education, the Kane County Regional Office of Education, the Illinois Department of Public Health, the Kane County Health Department, and the Illinois High School Association, to name a few. While we certainly benefit from the support and guidance that these institutions provide, it does mean that their coordination takes many conversations and much time.

As we look ahead to the 2021-22 school year, school districts across the state are still awaiting direction from these governing bodies. Having said that, preparations must carry on. That is why we invite you to participate in a preliminary planning survey. This information will help us in hiring and scheduling. Then, once we receive that guidance, we can tailor our plan and offer our families an official announcement on what to expect in 2021-22. The instructional model(s) we will ultimately offer will need to be sustainable, equitable, and will be shaped by state mandates as well as educational best practices.

The more families that respond to the survey linked below, the better prepared we can be to meet the needs of our students. The first part of the survey is a Google Form which seeks to uncover some basic information, while the second portion, the Thought Exchange, will ask you to anonymously share your ideas and then rank others' thoughts with a rating between 1 and 5 stars. Please submit a response for each child in your household by 12 noon on Friday, May 14th.

Thanks in advance for your participation!
