District 129 School Board Approves New Administrators

On March 20, 2017, the District 129 School Board approved the appointments of Daniel Ulrich as principal of McCleery Elementary and Janice Gont as curriculum coordinator K-12 Special Education for the 2017-2018 school year.

Ulrich has been the assistant principal at Goodwin Elementary since 2014. While at Goodwin, he has served as the 504 coordinator, building assessment coordinator and teacher instructional coach.

Prior to that, Ulrich was a 7th/8th grade math teacher and interventionist at Yorkville Middle School. He also was a 6th grade math teacher at Autumn Creek School in Bristol Bay.

Ulrich obtained his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. He has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Aurora University.

Gont currently serves as a K-8 Special Education Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) as a Curriculum and Behavioral specialist in Oswego School District 308. Prior to that, she was a Special Education teacher in District 308 through the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative.

Gont obtained her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in Chicago. She has a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Illinois State University.
